Men’s Golf Takes Seventh at Lebanon Valley

Freshman Chris Bouchard fired a four over par 76 Monday to finish in a tie for 11th place and lead the Susquehanna University Men's Golf team to a seventh place finish overall at the LVC Dutchmen Fall Invitational at the Lebanon Country Club in Lebanon.

Senior William McCafferty was two strokes back in a tie for 19th place and classmate Rob Johnson was another two strokes behind in a tie for 24th place with a final score of 80.

Lebanon Valley won the team title with a combined score of 301. Penn State Berks (307) and Gettysburg (308) were second and third while Stevenson (313) was fourth, Marywood (315) was fifth, Moravian (316) was sixth and Susquehanna was seventh with a team score of 319.

The River Hawks finished one stroke ahead of Penn College (320) and was also ahead of Albright (328), Stevenson B (329), Hood (334), Messiah (339), Lebanon Valley B (345), Widener (350), Elizabethtown (361), Misericordia (376) and Cairn (387). Wilson College competed but did not field a complete team.

Freshman Brandon Cassidy shot a 13 over par 85 and senior Cameron Keener finished with a 93 (+21) to round out the scoring for Susquehanna.

The River Hawks will compete next at the Landmark Conference Fall Invitational Saturday at Glenmaura National Golf Club.
