Hodgson Named MAC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna University senior Scott Hodgson has been named the Middle Atlantic Conference Player of the Week in men's lacrosse for the week ending April 4, the conference office announced Monday.

Hodgson (Point Pleasant, NJ/Ramapo H.S.) is the first Crusader to win the award in the five-year history of the program after scoring 15 goals and adding three assists in three games to help Susquehanna extend its school-record winning streak to five.

He helped the Crusaders to wins over Drew (12-7), Scranton (10-5) and Moravian (14-3) by scoring five goals in each game, increasing his team-high goal total to 23 for the season.

Hodgson's fifth goal against Moravian on Saturday tied him with Andy Nadler (2000-03) for the program's career goal record with 105.

Susquehanna is 5-1 overall and leads the MAC with a 4-0 conference record entering Tuesday's game at defending league champion Messiah.
