SU Men's Lacrosse to Play for Charity
SELINSGROVE, Pa. -- The Susquehanna University men's lacrosse
team will participate in the Third Annual Lacrosse for Smiles
Division III Play Day at Old Redskin Park in Herndon, Va., on
Sunday, Oct. 12.
The Crusaders will play St. Mary's College of Maryland,
Christopher Newport University and Randolph–Macon College in
abbreviated games starting at 2 p.m., 3:25 p.m. and 4:50 p.m.
Admission for the entire day is $5 per person, but children under
the age of five will be admitted free of charge.
All proceeds from the event benefit Operation Smile, a worldwide
children's medical charity whose network of global volunteers are
dedicated to helping improve the health and lives of children and
young adults. Since its founding, Operation Smile volunteers have
provided free medical treatment to more than 115,000 children born
with cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities.
