Spack Picks Up First Landmark Conference Honor of the Season

MADISON, N.J. – Following a history-making week for the Susquehanna men's lacrosse team, junior midfielder Billy Spack (Arlington, Va./Yorktown) was named the Landmark Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Spack and the Crusaders earned their first-ever Landmark Conference postseason berth on Saturday.

SU went 2-0 last week with a 10-6 win over Hood and a playoff-clinching 16-6 victory against USMMA. In the two games, both of which he started, Spack tallied eight goals on 10 shots. Against Hood, he finished with a hat track before exploding for five goals against the Mariners.

In 16 games this spring, Spack is second on the team with 29 goals and with his seven assists now has 36 points. He leads SU with 100 shots and has two game-winning goals and eight man-up goals to go along with 13 ground balls.

The Crusaders, who clinched the No. 4 seed in the tournament, travel to No. 1 Goucher on Wednesday at 4 p.m. for a semifinal contest.
