Lax Sweeps Super Crusader Awards

SELINSGROVE, Pa. - Susquehanna's lacrosse programs are represented in this week’s SAAC Super Crusader awards as senior attack Dustin Breakey (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) and sophomore midfielder Emma Ehler (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) were recognized for the period ending March 25.

Breakey helped the men's lacrosse team to a 2-0 record over the past week, winning against Immaculata 19-7 and Merchant Marine 14-9.

Against Immaculata, Breakey had three goals and three assists. Later in the week, he also contributed two goals in the win over Merchant Marine.

This season he has started five games, is second on the team in assists (11) and third in goals (13) and points (24). He also has a game-winning goal and seven ground balls.

The Crusaders travel to Reading, Pa. on Wednesday, March 28 for a game against Albright at 4:00 p.m.

This past week, Ehler helped the women's lacrosse team continue its undefeated season with wins over Lebanon Valley (16-7) and Shepherd (22-14).

She contributed two goals and two assists against Lebanon Valley. On Saturday, she racked up eight goals and one assist in the win over Shepherd.

This year, she has started all seven games, leads the team in points (36), goals (29), assists (7) and shots (71). On defense, she also has 19 ground balls and three caused turnovers.

Women's lacrosse plays at Lycoming on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
