Breakey Earns Player of the Week Accolade
MADISON, N.J. – Susquehanna men’s lacrosse senior
attack Dustin Breakey (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland
Valley) was named the Landmark Conference’s
Offensive Player of the Week, announced on Monday. This marks his
second weekly honor of the spring.
Breakey racked up seven points in SU’s lone game last week,
a 16-10 conference win at Washington & Jefferson. Breakey
finished with four goals and three assists in the win which evened
the Crusaders’ league record at 2-2.
The senior, who has started eight of the nine games in which
he’s played, is second on the team in goals (20), assists
(15) and points (35). He also has two game winners, two man-up
goals and 14 groundballs. In addition, all but 11 of his 44 shots
have been on goal.
Breakey and the Crusaders (6-6, 2-2) are back at home on
Wednesday, April 11 for a 4 p.m. game against Marywood.
