Susquehanna Men’s Lacrosse Announces 2013 Captains

SELINSGROVE, PA. – Susquehanna head men’s lacrosse coach Stewart Moan has announced the four captains of the 2013 Crusader team.  Four seniors – Ryan Brim (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury), John Kerrigan (Maple Glen, Pa./La Salle College HS), Marcus Cheatham (Reisterstown, Md./Loyola) and Dave Rinaldi (Hingham, Mass./Boston College HS), will carry the responsibility of leading their SU teammates on and off the field this upcoming season.

Cheatham is a returning third-year captain. The midfielder is an accomplished player, receiving All-Landmark Conference status his freshman, sophomore and junior year.  He was also the Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year in 2010.

Rinaldi returns as the leader and top coverage defenseman for the 2013 season. Rinaldi is an outstanding all-conference defensive player who will have the responsibility of covering opponents’ best attackmen.

Brim is a standout defensemen and two-year starter who had a breakout year last season. He will serve as an outstanding leader this spring.

Finally, Kerrigan returns as one of the top midfielders from a season ago. Kerrigan played in every game in 2012 and is a two-year starter who will be a major impact player again this season.

Susquehanna opens the 2013 season, one filled with strong opponents, on Sunday, Feb. 24th at home against Lycoming. The Crusaders’ first road game will be on Wednesday, Feb. 27th at Muhlenberg.
