TOWSON, Md. – Following their season-opening, come-from-behind victory at Lycoming on Saturday, Susquehanna men’s lacrosse members Pat Brogan (Lancaster, Pa. / Hempfield) and Jared Knowlton (North Salem, N.Y. / Kent School) have been named the Landmark Conference Men’s Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, for the period ending Feb. 23.
Brogan started his first game since suffering a season-ending injury in the season opener last spring, also against the Warriors. This time around, he scored two goals and had three assists for a team-high five points as the Crusaders rallied from a three-goal deficit to defeat Lycoming, 9-8.
Brogan fired off seven shots, including four on goal, as the Crusaders won at Lycoming for the first time since 2007.
Knowlton, meanwhile, recorded 17 saves on 35 Lycoming shots and registered three ground balls in his 60 minutes of action. He surrendered just one goal in the fourth quarter.
SU (1-0) hosts Muhlenberg on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 4 p.m. and King’s (Pa.) on Sunday, March 2 at 1 p.m.
