Lein Named Landmark Player of the Week

TOWSON, Md. – Susquehanna senior attack Austen Lein (New Vernon, N.J. / Chatham) has been named the Landmark Conference Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for the period ending March 30.

Lein helped lead the Crusaders (5-5, 2-0 Landmark) to a key, 7-6 league win at Merchant Marine Academy on Saturday. The senior tallied two goals on a team-high eight shots and also registered two assists for a four-point afternoon. Lein scored the game-winning goal with 9:14 remaining in the fourth quarter as SU held on for the road victory.

This season, Lein has started all 10 games, notching 12 goals and a team-high 22 assists for 34 points, which leads the Landmark. Lein has fired off a team-best 56 shots, has 14 ground balls and has recorded two game-winning goals.

Lein and SU travel to Hood on Wednesday, April 2 at 3:30 p.m. before hosting league opponent Goucher on Saturday, April 5 at 1 p.m.
