Knowlton Named Landmark Player of the Week

TOWSON, Md. – Susquehanna men’s lacrosse junior goalkeeper Jared Knowlton (North Salem, N.Y. / Kent School) has been named the Landmark Conference Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for the period ending April 27.

Knowlton registered 15 saves in SU’s 7-6 overtime victory at Catholic on Saturday, only the second win for the Crusaders against the Cardinals all-time. The junior faced 21 shots while playing the entire 62:08 of the contest for his third-straight win in between the pipes.

This season, Knowlton is 6-5 in 14 appearances—11 starts—while playing nearly 542 minutes. He has recorded 101 saves on 294 shots (.584 save percentage) and has a 7.98 goals against average (GAA).

In the Landmark, Knowlton ranks second in save percentage, third in wins and GAA and sixth in saves.

Knowlton and the Crusaders (9-7, 5-1 Landmark) earned the No. 1 seed in the Landmark playoffs and host No. 4 seed Drew on Wednesday, April 30 at 4 p.m.
