Men’s Lacrosse Tabbed for First-Place Finish

TOWSON, Md. – The Susquehanna men's lacrosse team, coming off its second of back-to-back Landmark Conference titles, has been selected to finish first in the 2015 Landmark Conference Preseason Poll.

The Crusaders received 64 points and four first-place votes. Scranton was second with 56 points and two first-place votes with Goucher in third with 52 points the remaining pair of first-place votes.

SU went 11-8 in 2014 with a 5-1 mark in conference games en route to becoming just the second program in the conference to win multiple men's lacrosse titles. Susquehanna had just two All-Conference selections in attack Austen Lein '14 – who was also named the Player of the Year – and defenseman Corrie Van Haasteren (Raymond, Maine/Hebron Academy).

Also returning is goalie Jared Knowlton (North Salem, N.Y./Kent School) who was second in the Landmark in saves, save percentage and goals-against average as a junior.

Susquehanna opens its 2015 season at home on Feb. 22 with a 1 p.m. game against Lycoming.
