Mead Named Landmark Lacrosse Defensive Athlete of the Week

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna's men's lacrosse player, Pierce Mead (Mendham, N.J. / West Morris Mendham), was named Landmark Conference Men's Lacrosse Defensive Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 12.

On April 11, Mead started in SU's 13-3 win over Washington and Jefferson. He took all of the face-offs for the Crusaders and won 15 out of 18. He also had seven ground balls as W&J was held scoreless in two of the four quarters and totaled 14 shots to SU's 38.

This season, Mead has started seven of the 13 games and has 34 ground balls and is 61-110 in face-offs to earn a .555 percentage.

The Crusaders are 10-3 overall and 4-1 in Landmark Conference play. They return to conference action on Saturday, April 18 at Scranton.
