TOWSON, Md. – Susquehanna men's lacrosse player Corrie Van Haasteren has been named Landmark Conference Men's Lacrosse Defensive Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feb. 28.
Van Haasteren started both games for SU which went 2-0 this past week. He finished with six ground balls and five caused turnovers, including five against King's. He also had three shots, all against King's. SU's defense held Muhlenberg to just two goals over the final three quarters of play and limited King's to just one goal in the second half.
This season, Van Haasteren has started all three games and has 10 ground balls and six caused turnovers. He also has two goals and one assist.
SU is 3-0 on the season and the team returns to action on Wednesday, March 2 when the Crusaders host Franklin & Marshall for a 4:00 p.m. game.
