Abplanalp, Fesinstine Names SAAC/Pepsi Super Crusaders

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna men's lacrosse player Dylan Abplanalp and softball player Jamie Fesinstine have been named SAAC/Pepsi Super Crusaders for the week ending March 13.

Abplanalp started both games last week and played every minute of both, including overtime versus Hendrix. He finished the week with a 2-0 record, 31 saves (20 against Hendrix), 11 goals against for a 5.41 goals against average (GAA) and a 73.8 save percentage.

The freshman has started every game and played every minute this season. He is 5-1, has 40 saves, a .615 save percentage and a 6.63 GAA.

SU is 5-1 on the season and returns to action on Wednesday, March 16 when the team hosts Wilkes for a 4:00 p.m. game.

Fesinstine went 3-1 in 28 innings pitched last week. She totaled 11 strikeouts and a 4.00 earned run average (ERA) and tallied four complete games.

Fesinstine is 3-2 overall this season with a 3.34 ERA, five complete games, one shutout, 35.3 inning pitched and 15 strikeouts.

The Crusaders are 6-4 overall and open their home season on Saturday, March 19 with a doubleheader against Landmark Conference opponent Drew beginning at 1 p.m.
