TOWSON, Md. - Three Susquehanna men's lacrosse players have earned All-Landmark Conference honors, announced Tuesday. Seniors Corrie Van Haasteren and Kade MacGregor have been named to the First Team while sophomore Alec Tzaneteas has been named to the Second Team.
Van Haasteren, who also earned Player of the Year status as a long pole midfielder, has started all 15 games in which he has played and leads the team in ground balls (66) and caused turnovers (32), both second-best in the Landmark Conference.
MacGregor was named to the First-Team defense for the second year in-a-row. He has started in 15 of 16 games in which he has played and is second on the team in ground balls (50) and caused turnovers (27). His 16 games places him first in the conference while his 27 caused turnovers places him fifth. MacGregor was an All-America Honorable Mention in 2015.
Tzaneteas has been named to the Second-Team at attack for his first All-Conference honor. He tallied 23 goals and 16 assists for 39 points heading into tournament play. His 16 assists leads the team and his 39 points are tied for first while his 23 goals are second-best.
The SU offense has out-scored its opponents 175-113 while the defense has caused 136 turnovers.
The Crusaders, under the direction of ninth-year head coach Stewart Moan, earned the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Landmark Conference Tournament and will host No. 3 seed Catholic on Wednesday, May 4 at 4 pm.
