Fans of the Susquehanna University Men's Lacrosse team will have plenty of chances to see the team play early in the season as the team will play four of its first five games at home on Sassafras Field. Head Coach Stewart Moan released the 2018 schedule that features three home games in February.
Susquehanna, who finished the 2017 season with a 9-7 record that included three wins to start the season, opens the 2018 season with a short trip to Lycoming before playing four straight home games with non-conference matchups against Muhlenberg, King's, Franklin & Marshall and Washington & Jefferson.
"We are looking forward to having a successful season this year," said Moan. "We have a lot of returning players that are going to be playing big roles this season. This elevated schedule is going to show where we stand in the development of our program."
After the stretch of early home games, six of the next seven games are all on the road with the lone home contest a matchup with Elizabethtown to start the Landmark Conference season. The Blue Jays are the defending conference champions.
After the Elizabethtown opener, the River Hawks travel to Moravian and Catholic to cap the middle portion of the schedule.
The River Hawks finish the season with four of their final five games at home including conference games against Goucher and Drew as well as non-conference games against Marywood and Washington & Lee. The game against the Rangers on April 28 will also be senior day for Susquehanna.
