Game Winner Earns Stellato Player of the Week Honor

MADISON, N.J. – Susquehanna men’s soccer player Joey Stellato (Convent Station, N.J./Morristown) netted the game winner on Saturday to propel his team to a No. 1 seed in the Landmark postseason tournament and his performance earned him Landmark Offensive Player of the Week honors on Monday.

Stellato’s goal proved to be the game winner as SU captured a 1-0 victory over Drew to clinch the top seed in the Landmark postseason tournament. The Rangers had entered the weekend at the top of the league standings before Saturday’s loss to Susquehanna.

This season, Stellato has started all 16 games in which he has played and leads the team in goals (6), assists (5), points (17) and game-winning goals (4). All of those numbers are career highs for the junior forward.

The Crusaders will host No. 4 seed Catholic on Wednesday at 7 p.m. SU defeated the Cardinals 3-2 earlier this season in Washington, D.C.
