Week of: Sept. 10-16

Field Hockey: The Crusaders (2-2) travel to Elizabethtown for a non-conference match on Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 5:00 p.m. Live stats can be found here.

SU hosts King’s (Pa.) on Saturday, Sept. 15 at 1:00 p.m and live stats can be found here.

Susquehanna dropped a pair of road games last week to non-conference opponents Gwynedd-Mercy and St. John Fisher. Senior Nicole Solino (Madison, N.J. / Madison) scored two goals and had one assist against the Griffins.

Men’s Soccer: SU (5-0) plays at Misericordia on Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 5:30 p.m. Live stats can be found here.

The Orange and Maroon then travel to PSU-Altoona on Saturday, Sept. 15 at 2:00 p.m. Live stats can be found here.

The Crusaders defeated two nationally ranked teams in the York College Tournament over the weekend. SU beat No. 22 William Paterson 1-0 behind a penalty kick from senior Zach Ziegler (Harrisburg, Pa. / Strath Haven). The Crusaders beat No. 2 York 1-0 as senior captain John Arnold (Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Mechanicsburg) scored on a header in the 78th minute.

Earlier in the week, Susquehanna also defeated Lycoming 4-0 in the annual Battle of the Boot rivalry game. 

Football: The Orange and Maroon (1-1, 0-1) face their first road challenge of the season, traveling to Centennial Conference foe Dickinson on Saturday, Sept. 15 at 1:00 p.m. Audio can be found here.

Susquehanna dropped the opening conference game to Johns Hopkins 34-7. Casey Tosches (Princeton, N.J. / West Windsor-Plainsboro South) had five catches for 36 yards and a touchdown. 

Volleyball: The Crusaders (3-5) compete in two separate tournaments this weekend as SU travels to Moravian for the Crossover Tournament on Friday, Sept. 14 with matches at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m.

SU travels to Lancaster for the F&M Scramble Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 15 at 2:00 p.m.

Susquehanna went 1-3 in the Endicott Invitational in Beverly, Mass. The Crusaders won the opening match 3-1 over Endicott with senior Emily Carson (Caldwell, N.J. / James Caldwell) registering a double-double with 14 kills and 16 digs.

Women’s Soccer: SU (3-2) hosts non-conference opponent Lebanon Valley on Saturday, Sept. 15 at 3:30 p.m. Live stats can be found here.

The Crusaders went 1-2 last week with a 2-1 River Derby victory over Lycoming. Both Susquehanna goals came in the final three minutes of regulation as Jessica Takats (West Islip, N.Y. / St. Anthony’s) scored the game winner with 19 seconds left.

Cross Country:  Both teams compete at Juniata on Saturday, Sept. 15 beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Crusaders had off last weekend after running in the Bucknell Bison Open on August 31.

Tennis: Both teams host Lebanon Valley on Saturday, Sept. 15 at 12:00 p.m. to begin the fall season.

Men’s Golf: The Crusaders compete in the Empire 8 Fall Tournament on Saturday and Sunday at the Yunundis Country Club for their first action of the fall season.

Women’s Golf: SU competes in a Tri-Match against McDaniel and Gettysburg on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at the Piney Branch Golf Club for their first action of the fall.
