3-1 Loss for Men’s Soccer at Moravian

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – A three-goal deficit proved to be insurmountable for the Susquehanna men's soccer team on Saturday afternoon, as the visiting Crusaders fell 3-1 to Moravian. SU (4-10-2) is still looking for its first win in Landmark Conference play.

Augusto Lima (Campinas, Brazil/Mercersburg Academy) made eight saves in goal, including five in the first half. Colin Keyes (Mt. Laurel, N.J./Lenape) tallied the lone goal for SU off an assist from Garian Lashley (Aurora, Ontario/Bill Crothers).

The Greyhounds took a 2-0 lead in the first half and continued into the second with a goal in the 60th minute.
Down 3-0, Susquehanna still fought and registered a shot on goal by Elias George (Watsontown, Pa./Warrior Run) in the 70th minute.

A corner kick from senior Ryan Donlevie (Stratham, N.H./Exeter) followed shortly after and the Crusaders got on the board when Keyed converted Lashley's cross into a goal. Down but not out, the visitors would accumulate 10 more shots for the remainder of the game, two of which were saved and an effort by David Trank (Mendham, N.J./West Morris Mendham) that hit the post.

The physical game featured a combined 21 fouls and three yellow cards, all of which came in the last eight minutes.

The Crusaders look to bounce back with a road win against Landmark opponent Juniata on Wednesday, Oct. 18. The game is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
