Men’s Soccer Picked to Finish Fifth

TOWSON, Md. – The Susquehanna men's soccer team has been picked to finish fifth in the 2016 Landmark Conference Preseason Poll, released Tuesday morning.

The River Hawks received 29 points, ahead of Moravian (16 points), Goucher (13 points) and Juniata (10 points). The University of Scranton, which won the 2015 Landmark Conference title, has been selected to finish first with 68 points and six of the eight first-place votes. Landmark runner-up, Elizabethtown, is second with 58 points and the remaining two first-place votes while Catholic is third (43 points) and Drew is fourth (35 points).

Susquehanna finished last season with a 9-7-2 (4-2-2 Landmark) record and returns seniors Jeremy Motsko and Nick Fecci who were named to the 2015 All-Landmark Conference Second Team.

The River Hawks open the season on Thursday, September 1 at Ursinus for a 7:00 p.m. game.
