Men’s Soccer Falls at Home to Lycoming

THE STORYLINE: The annual Battle of the Boot came back to Selinsgrove this year as the River Hawks hosted the Warriors of Lycoming College and were defeated 4-0. This is the second year in-a-row that Lycoming has won with the teams tying 0-0 in 2014.

TEAM RECORDS: The River Hawks are now 1-2 on the season while the Warriors earned their first win and are 1-2 as well.

SOME TEAM STATS: Susquehanna held Lycoming to only one goal in the first half but the Warriors managed three in the second half before the game was called due to lightning in the 83rd minute. Lycoming out-shot SU 17-6 with 13 of those on goal.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE FOR SU: Six different players took the River Hawks' six shots and Susquehanna put three of those shots on goal. Goalie Ian Lawlor faced 10 shots on goal and totaled seven saves in his 70:35 minutes of work.

THE SCORING: Jordan Logan and Kyle Mizell accounted for two goals each. Logan scored in the 12th and 52nd minutes while Mizell scored in the 65th and 83rd minutes.
