Three-Game Road Stand Ends in Loss for Men’s Soccer

IN BRIEF: The Susquehanna men's soccer team dropped its third game in four matches, falling 3-1 at Lebanon Valley in what marked the final of three-straight road contests for the River Hawks.

THE BIG PLAY: Rob Hanosek's goal just 1:50 into the game proved to be the difference in the contest. The Dutchmen went on to score two more unanswered goals to grab a 3-0 lead after 51 minutes of play, which was enough offense to hold off SU.

SU'S OFFENSE: Brennan Colby scored what stood as the River Hawks' only goal of the game on a free kick in the 71st minute. It marked his first goal (and points) of the season.

THE STATS: Susquehanna was out-shot 23-10 and put just half of those 10 shots on goal. Peter Burton, Nick Fecci and Colby had two shots apiece.

CAREER-HIGH: SU goalie Chris Dempsey came up with a season-high seven saves in his 90 minutes of work, six of which came in the second half. It marked just the fourth start of his career.

LAST CHANCE: Susquehanna's last chance to add another goal came with just 35 seconds remaining when Ryan Cronin's shot was blocked. It was one of five shots for SU in the second half.

RECORDS: SU falls to 1-4-1 while Lebanon Valley is 4-1-0.
WHAT'S NEXT: Susquehanna returns home for three straight games, beginning Sept. 17 with a 1 p.m. match against Arcadia.
