Goalie Named Landmark Men’s Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md. – Susquehanna's freshman men's soccer goalie Matt Ellingworth has been named the Landmark Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 25.

Ellingworth earned his first two wins – and shutouts – of his career this week as SU went 2-0.

In the first game of the week, Ellingworth earned his first win of his career, making three saves in 90 minutes of work as the River Hawks won 1-0 over Wilkes.

In the second game of the week, Ellingworth kept his shutout streak alive as he made eight saves in 90 minutes of work in SU's 1-0 win over Catholic. This is the first time since 2012 that SU defeated Catholic.

The River Hawks are 3-5-1 overall with a 1-0 mark in Landmark action and will travel to PSU-Harrisburg on Wednesday, September 28 for a 4:00 p.m. game.
