Another Conference Win for Men’s Soccer

THE MAIN STORY: The Susquehanna men's soccer team remains undefeated in Landmark Conference play with a 3-0 shutout over Juniata in Huntingdon, Pa.

RECORDS: SU improves to 5-5-2 overall and 2-0-1 in Landmark games. The Eagles are now 3-8-0 overall and 1-2-0 in conference games.

STREAKING: The River Hawks have not lost a game since Sept. 17. SU has gone 5-0-1 since that date and remain undefeated in Landmark Conference games. In addition, Susquehanna has now shut out its last six opponents.

GAME-WINNER: Senior Nick Fecci's goal less than eight minutes into the game stood as the game winner. It was his second goal of the season.

INSURANCE GOALS: Noah Carles and Garian Lashey added insurance goals in the 73rd and 80th minutes, respectively, to give SU a 3-0 cushion. It was the first goals of the season for both players as well as their first career scores.

TEAM STATS: The River Hawks out-shot the Eagles 19-7 and put 10 of those shots on goal. Susquehanna's defense limited Juniata to just two shots on goal all night and SU also took 12 corners to the Eagles' two. Freshman goalie Matt Ellingworth made two saves in his 90 minutes of work.

INDIVIDUAL STATS: Fecci led all players with six shots. Carles added three while Elias George, Jake Heyser and Ryan Cronin finished with two apiece. Colin Keyes added an assist on Fecci's goal.

TYING A SEASON HIGH: SU's three goals matched the most goals scored this season; Susquehanna defeated Elmira 3-0 on Sept. 4.

WHAT'S NEXT: The River Hawks return home to host Landmark Conference opponent Scranton on Oct. 8 at 3:30 p.m.
