Men’s Soccer Settles for 1-1 Tie against Lebanon Valley

Joey Dell'Estate headed in a ball off a corner kick by Max Maidenberg to give the Susquehanna University Men's Soccer team a 1-0 lead in the first half but Lebanon Valley bounced back to tie the game with 20 minutes remaining and the team finished in a double overtime 1-1 draw Wednesday night in the non-conference match on Sassafras Field in Selinsgrove.

Susquehanna (1-3-1) held an early shot advantage with a 6-5 edge in the first half but Lebanon Valley held a 12-5 edge in the second half and overtime periods.

Matt Ellingworth made seven saves in the Susquehanna goal.

The River Hawks will be back in action at 12 p.m. Saturday at Arcadia University to start a three-game stretch of games on the road.
