Men's Soccer Earns Academic Award

The Susquehanna University Men's and Women's soccer teams were awarded the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2016-17 academic year. This award is presented by United Soccer Coaches of America, formerly known as the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). This is the fifth consecutive year both teams have won the award.

Susquehanna was one of 848 teams (299 men, 549 women) that posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Susquehanna was also one of 213 NCAA Division I, II or III schools where both their men's and women's programs received recognition.

Under Head Coach Jim Findlay, the men's team received a team GPA of 3.2. For the women, under Head Coach Nick Hoover, the team posted a 3.5 team GPA. In all, 13 men's soccer players and 24 women's soccer players were named to the 2016 Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll.
