SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna's men's and women's swimming and diving teams will be competing in this weekend's Landmark Conference Championships held at Marywood's Aquatics Center from Friday, Feb. 10 to Sunday, Feb.12.

Seven men's teams and eight women's teams will be vying for titles, with SU's women's team eyeing a repeat championship run. Devin Lessard (Chestertown, Md. / Queen Anne's County) leads a deep squad that has dropped just two dual meets all season and captured its first conference title by 39 points in 2011.

Chadd Lee (Bloomsburg, Pa. / Bloomsburg Area) and Josh Heller (Rockville, Md. / Colonel Zadok Magruder) have been dominant for the men's team this year, with Heller swimming an NCAA qualifying time in the 50 yard freestyle. The Crusaders will look to knock off reigning champion Merchant Marine.

In addition to the team Championship trophies being handed out, awards for the Men's and Women's Coaching Staff of the Year, Men's and Women's Swimmer of the Year, Men's and Women's Diver of the Year and Men's and Women's Rookie of the Year will be handed out at the conclusion of the Championships Sunday evening.

Due to limited seating availability, a limited number of three-day passes have been allocated to each institution. Every session, however, there will be approximately 40 tickets that may be purchased at the door for $5 each.

The Landmark Swimming & Diving Championships will be the final event of the conference season for the Landmark competitors. Several teams and athletes will then move on to compete in other championships meets and will try to qualify competitors for the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships March 21-24 in Indianapolis, Ind. Last season the Landmark sent four student-athletes to the NCAA Championships.
