Sixteen Combined All-League Athletes for SU Swimming
MADISON, N.J. – Following competition at the 2012 Landmark
Conference Championships at Marywood University, a combined 19
Susquehanna male and female swimmers earned All-League status from
the conference, with 10 coming from the women’s squad.
Any athlete who wins and even or is a member of a winning relay
team earns First-Team All-Conference distinction while runners-up
in events earn Second-Team status.
For the women, who captured the team title for the second-straight
year, Devin Lessard (Chestertown, Md./Queen Anne’s
County), Dana Pontecorvo (New
Providence, N.J./Mount St. Mary Academy), Kate
Mays (Holland, Pa./Nazareth Academy), Lexi Cole
(Danville, Pa./Danville), Avanti Banks (East
Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) and Kyle Seaman
(Moreland Hills, Ohio/Orange) were named to the first
team. Earning second-team honors were Maggie Hess
(Wolfeboro, N.H./Brewston Academy), Michelle
Delgado (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) and
Alex Bornman (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland
Valley).
Lessard was also tabbed the Women’s Swimmer of the Year,
while Cole reeled in Rookie of the Year honors.
Receiving first-team status on the men’s side were
Tyler Long (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area),
Josh Heller (Rockville, Md./Colonel Zadok
Magruder), Chadd Lee (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg
Area), Taylor Cole (Danville, Pa./Danville
Area) and Nick Boyle (Westfield,
N.J./Westfield) while the second-team honorees were
Shawn Entenman (Southampton, Pa./Holy Ghost Prep)
and Cameron Boster (Burke, Va./Robinson Secondary
School).
In addition to his first-team nod, Lee was named the
conference’s Male Swimmer of the Year.
