Susquehanna Men’s Swimming Splits Tri-Meet

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Susquehanna men's swimming team defeated Messiah (144-115) and lost to Gettysburg (150-108) Saturday at Gettysburg.

Susquehanna took first in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:40.49 by the team of Jack Olson, Danny Csakai, Eric Lawrence and Duncan Frazier.

In the 1000 yard freestyle, Matthew Giroux came in second, behind Messiah and ahead of Gettysburg with a time of 10:36.96, a personal record.

Jack Olson, with a time of 55.17, came in second to Messiah but ahead of Gettysburg in the 100 yard backstroke while Csakai came in first in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:01.99.

Jourdan Stewart and Henry Chang came in second and third, behind first place Messiah in the 200 yard butterfly with times of 2:04.60 and 2:05.57 respectively. Stewart won the 100 yard butterfly with his time of 54:43.

In the 200 yard backstroke, Lawrence (1:59.84) took first while Olson (2:05.21) was second and Lawrence went on to also win the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:01.85. In the 200 yard breaststroke, Csakai finished second behind Gettysburg with a time of 2:22.76.

The Crusaders return to the pool at the USMMA Invitational on Saturday, No. 21 at 11:00 a.m.
