Men’s Swimming Third After Day One of Gettysburg Invitational

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Susquehanna men's swimming team competed in the first session of the Gettysburg Invitational Friday afternoon.

The team of Jack Olson, Danny Csakai, Eric Lawrence and Duncan Frazier started the day finishing fourth in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:37.88 and Lawrence proceeded to finish second in the 200 yard backstroke (1:57.78).

Csakai finished third in the 200 yard breaststroke with his time of 2:11.17 while Jourdan Stewart came in fourth in the 200 yard butterfly (2:00.39). Henry Chang and Ryan Rizzuto finished sixth and eighth in the 200 yard butterfly with their times of 2:03.98 and 2:07.62 with Rizzuto setting a personal record.

Chang finished the 1650 yard freestyle in 17:42.14 for a fifth place finish while Matthew Giroux swam this stroke for the first time and came in seventh (18:13.31).

After the first session the Crusaders are in third place overall through event 37 with a score if 274. The meet continues Saturday, Dec. 5 at 9:00 a.m.
