SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna men's and women's swimmers, David Miller and Kelsey Lessard, have been named the SAAC/Pepsi Super Crusaders for the week ending Feb. 14.
Miller competed in five events, winning two, at the Landmark Conference Championships this weekend as the team placed second. In the 200 yard freestyle he set a school and personal record with his time of 1:43.55. He was also a member of the school record setting 400 yard freestyle relay team that won with their time of 3:09.17 while also being a part of the third place finishing (7:01.42) 800 freestyle relay team.
Miller placed fourth in the 500 yard freestyle with a PR time of 4:46.06 which increased his third-place all-time position in the SU record book. His PR time of 47.89 in the 100 yard freestyle was good for a seventh place finish as well as seventh in program history.
Lessard won all three events in which she participated at the Landmark Conference Championships as the team won their unprecedented sixth-straight Landmark title with a record setting point total of 872.
In the 200 yard IM Lessard set a conference and meet record with her NCAA B-Cut time of 2:07.20 (a PR that increased her school record by 1.5 seconds). She also set a meet record with a NCAA B-Cut time of 4:33.81 in the 400 yard IM which moved her into second place in the SU record book. In the 200 yard butterfly, with a NCAA B-Cut time of 2:06.56, she set a personal and school record.
