Six Swimmers Post Multiple Wins for Men’s Swimming

David Grove, James Orzolek and Shane Sullivan were each part of three first place finishes as the Susquehanna University men's swimming and diving team won a total of 12 events en route to a 135-98 team win over Goucher College Saturday afternoon in the James W. Garrett Sports Center pool in Selinsgrove.

Grove, Sullivan and Orzolek were part of the winning 200-yard Medley Relay to open the competition. Grove added a win in the 200-yard freestyle and teamed with Orzolek, David Miller and Bill Crumrine to post the fastest time in the 400-yard free relay for finish the meet. Orzolek also posted a win in the 100 free while Sullivan was the top finisher in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke events.

Crumrine won the 100 back, Eric Lawrence was the fourth swimmer in the opening Medley Relay and also won the 100 Individual Medley. Ryan Rizzuto was the top finisher in both the 100 and 200 butterfly races.

Ryan Nathan won the 1000 free and Owen Madden won the 200 backstroke to round out the individual winners for the River Hawks.

Susquehanna have the week off from competition before hosting Scranton next Saturday for senior day at the Garrett Sports Center.
