Men’s Swimming Dominates Goucher with 14 Wins

The Susquehanna University Men's Swimming and Diving team defeated Goucher College Saturday afternoon by posting first-place finishes in each of the 14 events on the schedule in a meet at Goucher.

Susquehanna (3-4) posted a 168-63 victory with the team score.

James Orzolek, Zach Reed and Brett Walker each finished first in two different individual events while David Grove and Orzolek added two wins in relay events as well.

Ryan Rizzuto, Brandon Heese, Owen Madden, Luke Henry and Shane Sullivan added individual wins for the River Hawks.

Orzolek won both the 100 and 200-yard backstroke races, Reed was the winner in the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke events and Walker added wins in the 50-yard freestyle and 100 butterfly.

Rizzuto was the top finisher in the 200-yard butterfly while Heese swam to a first place finish in the 1000-yard freestyle, Madden won the 200-yard backstroke, Henry was first in the 500-yard freestyle and Sullivan won the 200-yard Individual Medley race.

The 200-yard Medley Relay was first with Grove, Sullivan, Walker and Orzolek while the 200-yard freestyle relay was also first. The relay featured Orzolek, Walker, David Brady and Grove.

The swimmer are in competition next at Scranton for a dual meet next Saturday with a 1 p.m. scheduled start.
