SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Susquehanna’s men’s tennis team defeated Landmark Conference opponent United States Merchant Marine Academy 7-2 on Saturday afternoon at the West Branch Tennis Club.
In singles competition, Jeremy Neville (Wellesley, Mass. / Wellesley) won 6-4, 6-3 in the number two position. Mats Haaland (Brunswick, Maine / Brunswick) beat his opponent 6-2, 6-2 at number three. Grant Uber (Biglerville, Pa. / Biglerville) was victorious at number four 6-4, 6-1.
Alec Green (Media, Pa. / Strath Haven) won 4-6, 6-0, 6-0 at number five. Rounding out the singles wins was Matt Quadrini (Escondido, Calif. / Brunswick (Maine)) who was victorious 6-2, 6-1 at number six.
In doubles action, the combination of Haaland and Neville defeated the Mariners 8-4. Uber and Green also posted a doubles victory, an 8-0 win.
The Crusaders (3-8, 2-1) play Moravian at DeSales University on Thursday, April 5 at 1:00 p.m.
