Men’s Tennis Wins on the Road

THE QUICK STORY: The Susquehanna men's tennis team traveled to Hood College, and won 7-2, Saturday afternoon.

CLOSE AFTER DOUBLES: At the completion of doubles, the River Hawks had a close 2-1 lead over the Blazers. Nicholas Meale and Ashton Collins won 8-1 in the number two doubles position while Taylor Swim and Austin Gow won at number three by default.

Hood's team of Michael Brady and Alex Sexton defeated Ben Ornstein and Ryan Seibert, 9-7, at number one singles.

SINGLES ACTION: Ornstein defeated his opponent 6-1, 6-3 at number one singles while Alexander Cocolas won 6-1, 6-1 in the number two slot. Seibert, at number four singles, defeated his opponent 6-0, 6-2 while Meale and Collins won in the numbers five (6-0, 6-0) and six (default) singles spots.

The Blaze won their second point at number two singles when Michael Brady defeated Alexander Dove 6-0, 6-2.

WHAT'S NEXT: The River Hawks return home to take on the Dutchmen of Lebanon Valley College on Sunday, September 25 at 1:00 p.m.
