MADISON, N.J.—Susquehanna senior men’s cross country runner Ian Quinlan (West Chester, Pa/West Chester East) was named the Landmark Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week on Monday afternoon after he recorded the fastest time of any Landmark runner at the De Sales Invitational over the weekend.
Quinlan was the top Landmark Conference finisher in the race’s Red section as he finished with a time of 26:16:83, good for a fourth-place finish in the Red race and an overall seventh-place finish out of 448 runners. The senior finished only 20 seconds behind the first place runner from Dickinson and had the quickest time in the conference from both the Red and Blue sections.
As a team, Susquehanna finished sixth out of 45 squads after landing a fourth-place finish in the Red section where they were narrowly edged for third by DII Kutztown. They were also the highest-finishing team from the Landmark Conference which saw five teams compete.
