Quinlan Named to the USTFCCCA All-Region Team

SELINSGROVE, Pa. Susquehanna’s men’s cross country senior Ian Quinlan (Eagle View, Pa. / Methacton / Lehigh) has been named to the 2011 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region Team in Division III following Saturday’s NCAA Regional Championships.

The USTFCCCA recognized nearly 560 athletes that earned All-Region awards for cross country in Division III following this weekend’s NCAA Regional Championships. Athletes of member schools that finished in the top 35 individually at one of the nine regional sites earned the honor.

Quinlan placed third at the NCAA Mideast Regional Championships at DeSales University with a personal best time of 25:29 to automatically qualify for the NCAA National Championships on Saturday Nov. 19 in Winneconne, Wisconsin. He was the top Landmark Conference finisher in the race.

In all the meets in 2011, he has finished 11th, third, 11th, fourth, second, first and third respectively.

The USTFCCCA Regional Runner of the Year will be announced in a few days.
