WINNECONNE, Wis. – Susquehanna cross country runner Ian Quinlan (Eagle View, Pa./Methacton/Lehigh) picked the right day to set a personal record as the senior had a career-best performance at Saturday’s NCAA DIII Men’s Cross Country Championships.
Quinlan ran the 8k course in 25:12.97 to finish 94th in the field of 279. He also set a PR in the process, surpassing his previous career-best time of 25:29. Quinlan was also the top of the three Landmark Conference runners that qualified for and competed in Saturday’s championships.
In addition, his 94th overall finish was a 49-place improvement over his 2010 championship performance, as he placed 143rd last year with a time of 25:42.
