Men’s Cross Country Earns No. 6 Regional Ranking

NEW ORLEANS, La. – After a dominant team performance at last weekend’s Lock Haven Invitational, the Susquehanna men’s cross country team has moved up to sixth place in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Mideast Region poll. SU had been ranked eighth in last week’s poll.

The Crusaders are the only Landmark Conference men’s team to earn a regional ranking. This marks the highest regional ranking since the team finished the 2009 season ranked sixth in the same region.

Last weekend, Susquehanna took home fourth at the Lock Haven Invitational, finishing behind only Carnegie Mellon, currently the third-ranked team in the Mideast Region, nationally-ranked Division II Lock Haven and a Division II squad in Slippery Rock that had received votes in the national poll.

The Crusaders return to action on Oct. 5 at the Paul Short Invitational.
