Men’s Cross Country Now Ranked Seventh in Region

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Susquehanna men’s cross country team has moved up in the regional rankings of the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Mideast Region. The Crusaders are currently ranked seventh in the regional poll, released Tuesday, and are the only Landmark Conference men’s team to earn a regional ranking.

Last Saturday SU won its fifth Landmark Conference title in the seven-year history of the conference. The Crusaders finished with a conference-record 22 points, surpassing the previous conference-best of 24 points, set by the 2009 Susquehanna championship team. Six athletes earned All-Conference honors and head coach Marty Owens was named Coach of the Year.

The team returns to action on Nov. 16 at the NCAA Mideast Regional meet, hosted by Lehigh University.
