TOWSON, Md. – Following Saturday’s men’s and women’s Landmark Conference championship meet, a combined eight male and female Susquehanna cross country runners earned All-Conference honors which were officially announced on Tuesday.

Six men and two women were All-Conference runners for the Crusaders. To earn First-Team honors, an athlete must have finished in the top seven while Second-Team honors were awarded to those who finished in the eight through 14 spots.

On the men’s side, Susquehanna had four First-Team and two Second-Team selections. The First-Team honorees were Alex Price (Skytop, Pa./Pocono Mountain East), Colin Eberhardt (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Sachem North), Paul Crowe (Boalsburg, Pa./State College Area) and John Crowe (Boalsburg, Pa./State College Area). The four runners swept the two through five spots. Meanwhile, Brandon Mash (Collegeville, Pa./Methacton) and Dan Isenberg (Danville, Pa./Warrior Run), finished eighth and ninth, respectively, to earn Second-Team accolades.

As a team, SU picked up its fifth Landmark Conference title in the seven-year history of the conference with a meet record 22 points. Head coach Marty Owens was named the Male Cross Country Coach of the Year for the fifth time in his career.

For the women, sophomore Ashley West (East Hampton, N.Y./East Hampton) was fourth overall as she picked up her second-straight First-Team selection. Senior Shannon Galvin (Jamison, Pa./Central Bucks South) took 13th to earn her first career All-Conference honor in cross country with a Second-Team recognition.

Both teams return to action on Nov. 16 at the Mideast Regional meet, hosted by Lehigh University.
