BETHLEHEM, Pa. – In what was likely the team's final meet of the 2013 cross country season, the Susquehanna men's squad took home ninth at Saturday's Mideast Regional meet, held at Lehigh University and hosted by Muhlenberg College.
The men finished just two points behind the seventh-place team from York as the Crusaders picked up 257 points. Johns Hopkins took home first with 62 points.
In the end, only 64 seconds separated all seven of Susquehanna's runners as the team placed five spots higher than a year ago.
Sophomore Colin Eberhardt (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Sachem North) was the team's top finisher as his career-best time of 25:50 on the 8k course placed him 38th. Alex Price (Skytop, Pa./Pocono Mountain East) was just two places and one second behind him with a time of 25:51, also a PR. Sophomore John Crowe (Boalsburg, Pa./State College Area) rounded out a close top three for SU with a personal-best time of 25:54 that earned him 43rd.
