Career Times Set by Men’s Cross Country

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Susquehanna men's cross country team was second overall and the top Division III team at Saturday's Lock Haven Invitational.

The Crusaders were second behind only host Lock Haven with 58 points to the Eagles' 43.

SU boasted two top-10 runners in the 8k race. Senior Alex Price (Skytop, Pa./Pocono Mountain East) captured fourth and was the top DIII runner with his career-best time of 25:37.7. Junior John Crowe (Boalsburg, Pa./State College Area) was a mere eight seconds behind, placing seventh with a time of 25:45.3, a nine-second PR.

Colin Eberhardt (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Sachem North) and Paul Crowe (Boalsburg, Pa./State College Area) went 13th and 14th, respectively, with times of 26.00.7 and 26:04.3 with Crowe setting a PR in the process. Senior Scott Sullivan (Silver Spring, Md./Northwood) was SU's fifth runner, crossing the finish in 26:22.4, earning 20th in the process and setting 66-second personal best.

Dan Isenberg's (Danville, Pa./Warrior Run) time of 26:27.6 was good for 24th in the 199-runner field and Justin Skavery (Mt. Carmel, Pa./Mt. Carmel) came in 46th with a time of 27:18.9, marking a career-best time.

Austin Iovoli (Victor, N.Y./Victor) also set a PR with a time of 27:28.1 while Kyle Skelton (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) went 27:31.8 and Evan Skelton (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) was just behind with a personal-best time of 27:33.1.

Sage Weikel's (Pipersville, Pa./Palisades) time of 27:57.1 was easily a personal best and Peter Lynch (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Ludden) crossed the line in 28:03.8, another PR. Torin McFarland (Pottstown, Pa./Own J. Robert) and Pat Brown (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) set career bests with respective times of 28:09.2 and 28:17.7.

The Crusaders return to competition on Octd. 4 at the prestigious Paul Short Invitational, hosted at Lehigh University.
