Men’s, Women’s Cross Country Still Regionally Ranked

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Susquehanna men's cross country team remains seventh in the most recent United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Mideast Region Poll, released Tuesday. The women's team, meanwhile, is ranked 10th in its regional poll.

The Crusader men competed in split squad action last weekend. The team's top six runners competing at the Princeton Invitational and the remaining runners raced at the Gettysburg Invitational. At Princeton, SU the men placed 27th while at Gettysburg, Susquehanna took home a 15th-place finish.

In the women's race at Gettysburg, the Crusaders captured third as a team with Ashley West (East Hampton, N.Y./East Hampton) leading the way and subsequently being named the Landmark Conference Female Cross Country Athlete of the Week.

The men's and women's teams next compete at the Landmark Conference Championships on Nov. 1 at Goucher College.
