Men’s, Women’s Cross Country Remain Top-10 in Region

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Susquehanna men's cross country team is ranked eighth in the most recent United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Mideast Region Poll, released Tuesday. The women's team, meanwhile, moved up to the number nine spot in the region after being ranked 10th in the previous poll.

Last Saturday, the SU men competed at the Landmark Conference championship meet where they ran to a second place finish. The Crusaders boasted two top-four runners in Alex Price (Skytop, Pa./Pocono Mountain East) and Colin Eberhardt (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Sachem North) who placed third and fourth, respectively.

The women, meanwhile, also finished as runners-up in the conference meet. Junior Ashley West (East Hampton, N.Y./East Hampton) was the team's top finisher, taking home sixth overall. In total, four women, including West, were All-Landmark Conference performers at the meet.

The men's and women's teams return to action on Nov. 15 at the Mideast Regional meet, hosted by Dickinson College.
