Men’s Cross Country Eighth at Regionals

CARLISLE, Pa. – The Susquehanna men's cross country team ran to an eighth-place finish at Saturday's NCAA Mideast Regional. SU took home eighth as a team with 270 points while Carnegie Mellon won the team title with 90 points.

Senior Alex Price (Skytop, Pa./Pocono Mountain East) placed 11th for the Crusaders and on Sunday, Nov. 16 will learn whether he qualified for NCAA Division III Nationals. If he qualifies, he would be the first SU male since Ian Quinlan '13 in 2011 to compete at Nationals.

Price's 8k time of 25:29.2 was a personal-best. Junior Colin Eberhardt (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Sachem North) was 24th with a time of 25:48.9 – a two-second PR – and just two places behind him was classmate John Crowe (Boalsburg, Pa./State College Area), who crossed the finish in 25:50.2, also setting a career-best in the process. Price, Eberhardt and Crowe's finishes earned them All-Region honors.
