Price Heading to Cross Country Championship

INDIANAPOLIS, Md. – Susquehanna senior cross country runner Alex Price (Skytop, Pa./Pocono Mountain East) officially qualified for the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championship as the NCAA announced the official field on Sunday afternoon.

Price becomes the first Susquehanna male cross country runner to qualify for the championship meet since Ian Quinlan '13 in 2011.

Price earned a championship spot with his 11th-place finish at Saturday's NCAA Mideast Region championship meet. He set an 8k personal best with his time of 25:29.2.

Earlier this season he was the team's top finisher at the Landmark Conference Championships, running to a third-place finish and earning First-Team All-Conference honors in the process.

In order to be eligible to participate in the championships, teams and individuals must qualify in their respective regions. Fifth-six individuals and 32 teams were selected to participate. To see the complete list of team and individual qualifiers, click here.
