Men’s Cross Country Voted Second in Preseason Poll

TOWSON, Md. – The Susquehanna men's cross country team has been picked to finish second in the Landmark Conference Preseason Poll.

SU, which placed second a year ago, received 47 points to finish behind defending champion Elizabethtown, which received 68 points and six of the eight first-place votes. Juniata was just behind Susquehanna with 44 points (one first-place vote) and Moravian was voted fourth (39 points, one first-place vote).

The River Hawks lost their top three finishers from last year's conference championship meet in John Crowe, Dan Isenberg and Colin Eberhardt. However, the team does return two runners who finished in the top 30 and two who placed in the top 60 at the title meet.

Susquehanna opens the 2016 season on Sept. 2 at the Bucknell Opener.
