TOWSON, Md. - The 2016-17 season marks the 10th year anniversary for the Landmark Conference. To help celebrate, the Landmark is featuring individuals that have stood out over the past 10 years by naming All-Decade Teams in each sport.
On Oct. 25, the conference announced the members of the Men's Cross Country All-Decade Team. Susquehanna boasted two athletes on the list: Ian Quinlan '12 and Paul Thistle '10.
Thistle was a member of the Susquehanna men's cross country team from 2007-2010. A three-time Landmark Performer of the Year (2007, 2008, 2009), Thistle guided SU to three Landmark Championships (2007, 2008, 2009). He was also named to the Academic Honor Roll team twice and in September was inducted into the SU Sports Hall of Fame.
Quinlan followed in Thistle's footsteps and was named the Landmark Performer of the Year in 2011. Quinlan was a member of the Susquehanna men's cross country team from 2008-2011, where he was a member of the 2010 Landmark Championship team. The three-time all-conference selection was also a two-time Academic Honor Roll selection.
Athletes that were named All-Conference First Team a minimum of two times, and/or were named Landmark Player of the Year, during their career will be nominated automatically, and each team had the opportunity to nominate additional individuals for consideration. The All-Decade team was selected by the membership and will be announced prior to the conference championship of each sport.
