Susquehanna University junior Ciaran Fisher had his best career run Saturday at the Lock Haven Invitational as he finished in 21st place in the mostly NCAA Division I field and as a result, has been selected as the Landmark Conference Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week.
Fisher clocked a 26:38.5 over the very flat and fast eight kilometer course. His time was more than 30 seconds faster than his previous best 8K time set last year at the Landmark Championship Meet. He also beat his best time at Lock Haven by 50 seconds after clocking a 27:26.5 at last year's race.
The River Hawks compete next on Saturday at the Dickinson College Long-Short event that offers an 8K race or a 4K race for the men.
